PATEA is a 29m (95.2ft) Solent-rigged performance sloop. She was designed by Alan Warwick Yacht Design, New Zealand and built by Alia Yachts in Turkey. Delivered in 2012, she has been meticulously maintained throughout her life, including a comprehensive refit completed in 2024/25. Designed for sailors and adventurers alike, PATEA combines impressive sailing performance with refined onboard comfort, making her equally suited to Mediterranean cruising or long-range exploration. Fully air-conditioned and engineered for safe, stable cruising and passage making, she performs equally well whether cruising coastal waters or undertaking offshore voyages.
PATEA’s deck layout is clean, clear and functional. The extended glass cabin top provides an elegant open-air dining space for 8–10 guests at anchor, and protection from the elements whilst under sail. Elevated aft helm stations enable good visibility with all the sailing functions at your fingertips, ensuring simple and efficient controls. The aft deck has a double sunbed that can convert into a secondary dining table with for- Alfresco dining. The transom folds down into a swim platform complete giving access to a large garage/lazarette for storage.
The elevated saloon area is flooded with natural light with panoramic windows and overhead skylights, offering superb 360-degree views. Solid oak flooring complements American walnut cabinetry creating a large, elegant space. This flexible saloon can be configured as a relaxed lounge or formal dining area that includes a bar area. There is an internal helm station with joystick control for adverse weather conditions. Below deck, accommodation for up to eight guests is arranged across four cabins, including a full-beam owner’s suite, a double cabin, a convertible cabin and a media room that converts into a fourth, en-suite cabin. This clever layout enhances excellent privacy by separating the crew and guest areas.
She has a spacious, functional galley with ample natural light, situated forward and down a level alongside the crew mess and a dedicated laundry room with washer and dryer facilities.
Engineered for outstanding sailing performance, PATEA is equipped with a Southern Spars carbon rig and advanced sail-handling systems, furling headsails and in-boom mainsail furling with asymmetric symmetric masthead spinnakers. A new 425hp Volvo Penta D8-MH main engine delivers a top speed of 12 knots and a range of approximately 2,200nm at 10 knots. Her 3.65m (12ft) fin keel provides high stability for upwind performance and enables access to shallower anchorages.
The sailing systems are powered by hydraulic and DC motors. The twin pack Parker DC motors are supplied with ample power from 1200 Amperes house system battery pack providing complete redundancy and operational safety.
PATEA received the prestigious ‘Charter Yacht of the Year’ award at the Monaco Yacht Show. Whether envisaged as a luxurious private cruiser or a high-performance charter yacht, PATEA offers a compelling combination of performance and comfort.
